2D, 5D, UV: WHICH SCREEN PROTECTION TO CHOOSE?

Smart devices are an indispensable tool today and are being used more and more on a daily basis. Therefore, scratches and nicks on the screen of a mobile phone are very annoying, not to mention a broken screen. However, there are several screen protection options. The two most common materials are tempered glass and plastic / film. In the following, we have briefly explained their differences, and we will also explain the differences between 2D, 5D and UV tempered glasses.

UV (5D) tempered glass


UV (5D) protective glass is a convex glass that is applied with an adhesive that dries with the help of UV light and covers the edge of the mobile phone screen from edge to edge. The protective glass with UV glue is well suited for mobile phone models with curved edges. The special glue does not damage the screen of the smart device and can be easily removed from the screen later.

Protective film

The protective film of a mobile phone has a weaker protection compared to the tempered glass. The service life of the protective film is significantly shorter compared to the protective glass. At the same time, the protective film is cheaper than tempered glass. Unlike the tempered glass, stronger and sharper notches, can still damage the screen of the mobile phone despite the protective film.

In addition to the screen protector, use the mobile case

Although the protective glass protects the screen of the mobile phone, it does not provide complete protection in the event of a fall or shock. To give your smart device extra protection, we also recommend using a mobile phone case that protects your mobile phone in the event of a fall * or shock.
